Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 c oil
  • 1/4 c water
  • Nonstick cooking spray for preparing the pan

Middle Layer

  • 1 jar Jet-Puff Marshmallow Cream

Top Layer

  • 1 c peanut butter creamy or chunky
  • 2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 c Rice Krispies or Cocoa Krispies

Instructions

Prepare the baking pan.

  • Lightly coat a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Prepare the brownie batter.

  • Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions, using the eggs, oil, and water listed.

Bake the brownies.

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to the package directions.

Cool the brownies.

  • Remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan.

Add the marshmallow layer.

  • Once the brownies are fully cooled, spread the marshmallow cream evenly over the top of the brownie layer.

Prepare the chocolate-peanut butter mixture.

  • Place the peanut butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips in a medium microwave-safe bowl.

Melt the mixture.

  • Heat the peanut butter and chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add the cereal.

  • Stir the Rice Krispies or Cocoa Krispies into the melted chocolate-peanut butter mixture until evenly coated.

Spread the top layer.

  • Carefully spread the cereal mixture over the marshmallow cream layer, covering the surface evenly.

Chill the brownies.

  • Cover the pan and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until the top layer is firm.

Slice and serve.

  • Cut the brownies into 24 to 36 bars, depending on the preferred serving size. Serve chilled or slightly softened at room temperature.
