Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 12 oz whipped cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup dill pickles finely chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 3 tbsp ranch seasoning
  • 3 large cloves garlic freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives finely snipped, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice from about 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  • Place the panko breadcrumbs in a dry skillet.
  • Heat the skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Toast the panko breadcrumbs, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, approximately 6 minutes.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Allow the toasted panko breadcrumbs to cool completely.
  • Reserve 1 tablespoon of the toasted panko breadcrumbs for garnish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the whipped cream cheese and sour cream.
  • Stir until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
  • Add the finely chopped dill pickles, ranch seasoning, freshly grated garlic, chopped fresh dill, finely snipped chives, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  • Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Stir again until the lemon juice is fully blended into the dip.
  • Add the toasted panko breadcrumbs, leaving the reserved tablespoon aside for garnish.
  • Fold the panko breadcrumbs into the dip until evenly distributed.
  • Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a fitted lid.
  • Refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to develop.
  • Before serving, stir the dip gently.
  • Transfer the chilled dip to a shallow serving bowl.
  • Garnish with additional finely chopped dill pickles, the reserved toasted panko breadcrumbs, fresh dill, and fresh chives.
  • Serve chilled with wavy potato chips, pretzel thins, crackers, fresh vegetables, or toasted bread.
  • If desired, use the dip as a spread for sandwiches, wraps, sliders, or burgers.
