Ingredients

  • 500 g / 1 lb potatoes
  • 1/4 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/8 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion granules
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil sunflower oil, or olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F.
  • Peel the potatoes using a potato peeler or knife, if desired.
  • If leaving the skin on, wash the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
  • Rinse the potatoes under clean water.
  • Pat the potatoes dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  • Cut the potatoes into even slices to ensure uniform baking.
  • Place the sliced potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the dried parsley, dried rosemary, garlic powder, onion granules, black pepper, and salt.
  • Add the vegetable oil, sunflower oil, or olive oil.
  • Toss the potatoes until all slices are evenly coated with the oil and seasoning mixture.
  • Line a baking tray with foil or parchment paper.
  • Arrange the seasoned potato slices on the prepared baking tray in a single layer.
  • Avoid overlapping or piling the potato slices to allow even baking and crisping.
  • Place the baking tray in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender inside and crispy on the outside.
  • Check the potatoes for doneness by inserting a fork into the center of a slice.
  • Remove the baking tray from the oven once the potatoes are fully cooked, fluffy inside, and crisp around the edges.
  • Transfer the sliced baked potatoes to a serving plate.
  • Serve warm as a side dish with preferred main dishes or dipping sauces.
