Ingredients

  • 4 naan bread pieces
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded or sliced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil finely chopped

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet or plan to place the naan directly on the oven rack for a crisper crust.

Prepare the Base:

  • Arrange the naan bread pieces in a single layer on the baking sheet or directly on the oven rack.

Add Sauce and Cheese:

  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. If using Parmesan cheese, distribute it evenly over the mozzarella.

Bake:

  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the edges of the naan are golden brown and crisp.

Finish and Serve:

  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Garnish with freshly chopped basil. Slice and serve immediately. Additional toppings such as dried oregano or red pepper flakes may be added if desired.
