Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets 680 g / 24 oz: The tender main protein that absorbs the glaze beautifully.
  • Pure maple syrup 60 g / 2 oz: Adds luscious sweetness and a glossy finish to the glaze.
  • Low-sodium soy sauce 30 g / 1 oz: Contributes savory depth and balance against the maple syrup.
  • Fresh garlic minced (6 g / 0.2 oz): Infuses the glaze with aromatic complexity.
  • Fresh ginger grated (5 g / 0.18 oz): Brings a subtle warmth that complements the sweet maple.
  • Lemon juice 15 g / 0.5 oz: Brightens the dish with citrus and lifts heavier notes.
  • Olive oil 10 g / 0.35 oz: Helps crisp the surface of the salmon under heat.
  • Salt 2 g / 0.07 oz: Enhances overall taste and highlights natural sweetness.
  • Black pepper 1 g / 0.03 oz: Adds gentle spice and aromatic bite.
  • Fresh parsley 5 g / 0.18 oz: Used for garnish and a hint of freshness.
  • Essential ingredients for creating maple glazed salmon.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well blended.
  • Lay salmon fillets skin-side down on the tray and brush generously with the maple glaze.
  • Roast in the oven for 12–15 minutes, basting halfway through with more glaze for a deeper coating.
  • Broil for an additional 2 minutes if you prefer a lightly caramelized top.
  • Remove from oven, rest for 2 minutes, then garnish with parsley and a wedge of lemon.

Notes

If you’d like a richer glaze, substitute half of the soy sauce with tamari or a splash of balsamic vinegar for complexity.
For a smokier twist, add a pinch of smoked paprika or grill the salmon instead of baking.
Leftover maple glazed salmon can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days and enjoyed cold in salads or wraps.
Serve maple glazed salmon warm with your favorite sides.
