Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 large head cauliflower separated into florets
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Prepare the ingredients.

  • Gather all ingredients before beginning the recipe. Separate the cauliflower into evenly sized florets to ensure consistent roasting.

Preheat the oven.

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F / 220°C.

Prepare the baking dish.

  • Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish lightly with oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Combine the olive oil and garlic.

  • Place the olive oil and minced garlic in a large resealable bag. Seal the bag and gently mix to combine.

Coat the cauliflower.

  • Add the cauliflower florets to the bag. Seal the bag securely and toss until the cauliflower is evenly coated with the garlic and olive oil mixture.

Transfer to the baking dish.

  • Pour the coated cauliflower into the prepared casserole dish and spread it into an even layer.

Season the cauliflower.

  • Season the cauliflower with salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Roast the cauliflower.

  • Roast in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time to promote even browning.

Prepare for broiling.

  • Remove the casserole dish from the oven and turn on the broiler.

Add the Parmesan and parsley.

  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley evenly over the roasted cauliflower.

Broil until golden.

  • Return the dish to the oven and broil for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the Parmesan is golden brown and the cauliflower is lightly crisp on top. Watch carefully to prevent burning.

Serve.

  • Remove from the oven and serve hot.
