Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large cucumber
  • ¼ red onion thinly sliced

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, lemon juice, granulated sugar, dried dill, and salt. Stir until the dressing is smooth and well blended. Set aside.
  • Peel the cucumber if desired. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds or half-moons. Thinly slice the red onion.
  • Add the sliced cucumber and red onion to the bowl with the prepared dressing. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Allow the salad to rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir once more before serving to redistribute the dressing and flavors.
  • Serve chilled or at cool room temperature.
