Trim the ham as needed to ensure it fits properly inside the slow cooker.
Place the bone-in spiral sliced ham into the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and honey. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
Rub the honey butter mixture evenly over the ham, gently pressing it between the spiral slices when possible.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook the ham on low for 4 to 5 hours, or until heated through.
Toward the end of the cooking time, preheat the oven broiler to high.
Line a roasting pan with foil to make cleanup easier and to catch any glaze that drips during broiling.
In a small bowl, combine the light brown sugar, garlic powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, paprika, and salt. Stir until evenly mixed.
Carefully transfer the ham from the slow cooker to the prepared roasting pan.
Press half of the brown sugar mixture evenly over the top and outside of the ham.
Place the ham under the broiler and broil for approximately 3 minutes, or until the topping is bubbly and caramelized. Watch closely to prevent burning.
Remove the ham from the oven.
Place the remaining brown sugar mixture in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add 3 tbsp of ham liquid from the slow cooker, or water if ham liquid is not available.
Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Allow the glaze to boil for 1 minute, then remove it from the heat.
Brush the warm glaze evenly over the ham.
Return the ham to the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes, or just until the glaze is bubbly and caramelized. Watch carefully, as the glaze can burn quickly.
Remove the ham from the oven and allow it to rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
Serve warm, spooning any additional glaze or pan juices over the ham if desired.
