Ingredients

  • 8 oz corkscrew-shaped pasta
  • 3/4 cup Italian-style salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups chopped cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 12 slices crispy cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 cup Muenster cheese cubed
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 cup green bell pepper chopped
  • 8 oz cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 avocado peeled, pitted, and chopped

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Add the corkscrew-shaped pasta to the boiling water.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions, stirring occasionally, until it is tender but still firm to the bite.
  • Drain the cooked pasta thoroughly.
  • Rinse the pasta under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool it for the salad.
  • Allow the pasta to drain well to remove any excess water.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Italian-style salad dressing and mayonnaise.
  • Whisk the dressing and mayonnaise together until smooth and fully blended.
  • Add the chopped cooked rotisserie chicken to the dressing mixture.
  • Add the crumbled crispy bacon, cubed Muenster cheese, chopped celery, chopped green bell pepper, and halved cherry tomatoes.
  • Stir gently until the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
  • Add the cooled pasta to the bowl.
  • Toss gently until the pasta is fully incorporated and coated with the dressing mixture.
  • Add the chopped avocado last.
  • Fold the avocado gently into the pasta salad to prevent it from becoming mashed.
  • Cover and refrigerate the pasta salad until ready to serve, if desired.
  • Stir gently before serving.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

To make Chicken Club Pasta Salad gluten free, replace the corkscrew-shaped pasta with certified gluten-free rotini, fusilli, penne, or another short pasta shape.
Confirm that the Italian-style salad dressing is labeled gluten free, as some bottled dressings may contain gluten-based additives or thickeners.
Use gluten-free mayonnaise and verify that the rotisserie chicken is gluten free, since some store-bought chickens may contain seasoning blends or marinades with gluten.
Check that the bacon and Muenster cheese are gluten free and free from gluten-containing fillers or flavorings.
Prepare the salad with clean utensils, bowls, cutting boards, and serving spoons to avoid gluten cross-contact.
