Ingredients

  • 1⅔ cups 11-ounce package butterscotch-flavored morsels
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • cups corn flakes cereal

Instructions

  • Line baking sheets with waxed paper and set aside.
  • Place the butterscotch morsels in a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat uncovered in the microwave on medium-high power for 1 minute, or until just melted. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the peanut butter to the melted butterscotch and stir until fully combined and glossy.
  • Gently fold in the corn flakes cereal, stirring carefully until all flakes are evenly coated without excessive crushing.
  • Drop the mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing slightly apart.
  • Refrigerate for approximately 20 minutes, or until the drops are firm and set.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

To ensure these Butterscotch Drops are gluten free, use corn flakes that are certified gluten free, as some brands may contain malt flavoring derived from barley. Confirm that the butterscotch morsels and peanut butter are also labeled gluten free. No additional substitutions are necessary.
