Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix 18 oz
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping thawed
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips plus additional for topping

Instructions

  • Place the brownie mix in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave the brownie mix on high for 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds.
  • Allow the heat-treated brownie mix to cool slightly before adding it to the dip mixture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, thawed whipped topping, and milk.
  • Mix until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  • Add the cooled, heat-treated brownie mix to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Fold the brownie mix into the mixture until a smooth dip consistency forms.
  • Add the mini chocolate chips.
  • Fold gently until the chocolate chips are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  • Transfer the Brownie Batter Dip to a serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle additional mini chocolate chips over the top.
  • Serve immediately with desired dippers, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • If refrigerated before serving, allow the dip to sit at room temperature for several minutes to soften slightly before serving.

Notes

To make this Brownie Batter Dip gluten free, use a certified gluten-free brownie mix.
Confirm that the cream cheese, milk, whipped topping, and mini chocolate chips are labeled gluten free.
Use gluten-free dippers such as gluten-free graham crackers, gluten-free pretzels, strawberries, apple slices, marshmallows, or gluten-free cookies.
Prepare the dip with clean bowls, spatulas, measuring spoons, and serving utensils to prevent cross-contamination.
