Preheat the oven to 425ºF.
Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and Italian dressing mix.
Stir until the ingredients are evenly blended.
Coat both sides of each chicken breast with the brown sugar and Italian dressing mixture.
Arrange the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking pan.
Sprinkle any remaining brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of the chicken.
Place the baking pan in the preheated oven.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
Verify that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F at the thickest part.
Turn the broiler to HIGH.
Broil the chicken for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the brown sugar mixture caramelizes.
Watch the chicken carefully during broiling to prevent the sugar from burning.
Remove the chicken from the oven.
Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Spoon any pan juices over the chicken, if desired.
Serve warm.
