Ingredients

  • 1 package fresh or frozen ravioli fresh is preferred (if using frozen, let the ravioli thaw on the counter for an hour before using)

For egg coating:

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon whole wheat flour white is okay too

For crumb coating:

  • ¾ c breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • tsp black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fine parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Start by heating a pot of water until it reaches boiling point. Cook the ravioli, in the boiling water for 3 minutes. Once cooked drain the ravioli. Set it aside.
  • In one bowl whisk together an egg, some water and flour. In another bowl combine breadcrumbs, dried herbs, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese.
  • Dip a piece of ravioli at a time into the egg mixture. Then thoroughly coat them with the breadcrumb mixture. Place each ravioli piece on a plate.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  • Arrange the ravioli in a single layer, inside the air fryer basket while ensuring they don't touch each other. Lightly spray them with oil.
  • Set your air fryer to cook at 370°F (188°C) for 4 minutes. After that time has passed flip over the ravioli pieces gently. Lightly spray their tops with oil again. Continue cooking for 3 minutes. If needed repeat this process for any remaining batches of ravioli.
  • Serve your crispy Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli alongside your dipping sauces and savor every bite!
