Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread or French baguette sliced into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup 2 sticks salted butter softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 16 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes optional, for garnish

For Serving (Optional):

  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Slice the Italian bread or French baguette into uniform slices approximately 2 inches thick and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly incorporated and the butter mixture is smooth.
  • Evenly and generously spread the garlic butter mixture onto one side of each bread slice.
  • Sprinkle an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the buttered side of each slice. If desired, lightly sprinkle dried parsley flakes over the cheese.
  • Arrange the prepared bread slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the edges of the bread are lightly toasted. The air fryer does not require preheating for this recipe.
  • Carefully remove the garlic cheese bread from the air fryer and serve immediately. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
