Ingredients

  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 2 c low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 c instant white rice uncooked
  • 1/2 c Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp chicken bouillon
  • Dash freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Heat the Soup and Broth

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth. Stir well and place the saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil.

Add the Remaining Ingredients

  • Once the mixture reaches a boil, stir in the instant white rice, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, chicken bouillon, and black pepper. Stir until evenly combined.

Cover and Remove from Heat

  • Cover the saucepan with a lid and remove it from the heat.

Let the Rice Stand

  • Allow the rice to stand for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.

Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

To make this 5 ingredients Souper Rice gluten free, use a certified gluten-free cream of chicken soup, as many canned condensed soups contain wheat as a thickener. Also check that the chicken broth, chicken bouillon, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese are labeled gluten free and free from cross-contact warnings.
