  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

FOR PRALINE ICING:

  • 1/2 c 1 stick butter
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1/3 c heavy cream
  • 2 c powdered sugar
  • 1 c chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Make sure to preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Take a 13x9" baking pan and line it with foil leaving some extra for easy removal then grease it with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan gently melt the butter over medium-low heat. Stir in the sugar until it's well combined. Let it cool slightly. Whisk, in the eggs and vanilla until you have a smooth mixture. Add the salt, baking powder and flour stirring until you get a batter.
  • Pour the batter into the pan making sure to spread it. Bake for around 19 to 22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  • Making Praline Icing: Take another saucepan. Combine butter with brown sugar. Heat over medium heat. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly for approximately 2 minutes. Add cream. Bring back to a boil. Remove from heat. Let it cool slightly for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in sugar until you achieve a smooth consistency then fold in chopped pecans.
  • Work quickly by spreading praline icing over the cooled blondie base. Refrigerate, for 2 hours so that the icing can set before cutting them into bars. Enjoy these Pecan Praline Blondies!
